What I get in syslog is:

Nov 21 03:33:26 localhost systemd[1]: Started CUPS Scheduler.

settings-daemon:2456): color-plugin-WARNING **: failed to connect to

I filed a bug at Ubuntu Lanuchpad back in October https://bugs.launchpa
d.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1635715

however it appears as its just been sitting there for a month. Is this
a Gnome issue, CUPS issue or some other issue? I realize it's just a
warning as the printer works fine.
