Hi all,
Mateus (on CC) has been completing the IM support in
telepathy-resiprocate[1] as part of GSoC this year.
Would anybody be interested in helping to test his work with Empathy?
To test, you need to be running a recent Debian, Ubuntu or Fedora and
you need the latest telepathyqt 0.9.6.
telepathy-resiprocate can be cloned from Git and compiled, there is a
script to fully automate the compile for Debian/Ubuntu users and it
could easily be adapted for Fedora.
The main benefit of telepathy-resiprocate is that it provides a much
stronger SIP implementation than telepathy-rakia. In particular, better
support for IPv6, TLS, NAPTR, NAT traversal with TURN and a whole bunch
of other stuff.
Regards,
Daniel
