Yeah, you are right but I don't know very much. I know that the screen is flickering whether I move my cursor. I think it's nouveau's problem.

The first screenshot is from openSUSE factory and the second from Ubuntu Gnome.Also in the second screenshot I couldn't even see the list of the apps.

It's hard to tell from your screenshots what behavior you are expecting that is not occurring, other than there being no background. Can you provide a little more information?
