Evolution Contacts Advanced Search parsing

Hello

Evolution Contacts Advanced Search has the ability to use an
'expression' but I cannot find a definition to use this function.

I am hoping that this will give me a way to either count out or select a
certain number of "Contact" records.

Verizon, as an e-mail service restricts each e-mail to no more than 99
contacts per an e-mail and no more than 500 maximum during one hour.
The penalty for breaking these rules is 24 hour loss of e-mail
privileges.

I am having a bit of difficulty finding a way to parse a contact list to
meet this criteria.

As some of us do actually have to do mailings to quite a few people,
this is a bit of a pain

Any and all suggestions welcome.
