Hello Gnome,
Several gtk+-2.16.5 applications produce "error: unexpected
character....." message. The message is a result of an attempt to read a
raw directory and interpret it as a configuration file (see
http://unix.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/FreeBSD/current/2009-04/msg00597.html).
This behavior is apparently a result of appending an empty string to the
current directory name in gtk_rc_context_parse_one_file in gtkrc.c.
