the http_proxy in gconf

Hi,
Using GNOME 2.10 on Fedora Core 4.
If I set the gconf http_proxy (and the port) how could I know all the
applications that will use the proxy? I guess only Gnome-Related
applications will use it. How to list them?

How about, for example GAIM, which has its own network settings? which
will override which?
