Removing the gnome login and logout sounds

Hi,

I really don't like the login sounds and would like to login to gnome as
fast as possible which means I really can do without them. 
I just don't seem to find a way to remove them. I don't know if it is
solved in 2.10, 'cause I run 2.8 (I'm on debian unstable), but in the
gnome-sound-properties dialog (second tab) I can only select a different
wav to use as login sound, I can't just remove the current login file.
