GGV 2.8.4 launching problems

Hi all,

I hope this is not a trivial one. At least Google did not help, I only found one
similar message from this list, dating back to 29 Mar 2004. So, I wonder if
there is a simple solution for the following problem:

I compiled ggv 2.8.4 to my recently upgraded Fedora Core 4 (kernel 2.6.12,
Gnome 2.10.0), and when trying to launch ggv, I get

(ggv:22087): GGV-WARNING **: Could not get GGV control: 'Failed to activate
'OAFIID:GNOME_GGV_Control''

(ggv:22087): GGV-WARNING **: Failed to create a new window.

(ggv:22087): GGV-WARNING **: No windows could be opened. Exiting...
