printing: how to set the margin size?

hi,


gentoo, gnome-2.8 and cups here.

my problem is that the margin size is too big when printing from gnome 
apps. and i somehow cannot find out how to adjust it.
so, is there a way do adjust it?

and yes, it seems to be a gnome problem. margins are fine when using 
firefox or kde-apps or directly lpr with a text file.
