I'm running Gentoo now.  How's it done in Gentoo?

I looked into this issue a while back, and the best I could come up
with is "krename".  I found others, too, but I don't remember at the
moment what they were.

Another program is "gprename".

These don't integrate seamlessly with the file manager, and it would
be nice if they did, but I find krename suits me.
