gnome-vfs write-capable text editor?

hi,

is there any gtk/gnome-based program that can WRITE to documents thru
gnome-vfs?

i tried gedit,
and it can OPEN files nicely from locations like
"sftp://gabor myserver com/my/home/text.txt",

but it cannot SAVE them.

is there any text editor that can do it?

i really don't want to use kwrite for this ;)
