Those settings are stored in gconf. The following keys, or paths under
them, are used to store the information:

For the terminal:
	/desktop/gnome/applications/terminal
For anything associated with a uri scheme (web browser, mail reader...):
	/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/<uri-schema>
