I haven't tried.
Anyway the problem seems to have gone away since I upgraded
Gnome-Utils, Control-Center and Gnome-Themes, deleted my old Gnome
preferences directories and restarted Gnome.
Now the only problem seems to be that Nautilus is taking a really long
time (several minutes) to start on Gnome startup. It eventually starts
up OK but it seems to be quite slow.
