Cannot lock screen in gnome

Hi all,

I am using Red Hat 9.0 and GNOME as my window-manager. The problem I  
have is that I can't lock my screen display. When I click on the option  
in the menu, nothing happens. All other options in the menu work  
normally.

Any suggestions?
