Hi Wouter,
Thanks for response.
I copied and pasted your command to Konsole window and executed it as USER and
then as ROOT as well. I compared their printouts as found similar as
follows;
~# echo `dpkg --get-selections |cut -f 1 |grep -E "(gnome|gtk|gconf)"`
freeciv-client-gtk gconf gconf2 gnome-bin gnome-core gnome-libs-data
gnome-mime-data gnome-session gtkglarea5 libgconf-dev libgconf11 libgconf2-4
libgconf2-dev libgdk-pixbuf-gnome2 libglade-gnome0 libgnome-desktop-2
libgnome2-0 libgnome2-common libgnome32 libgnomecanvas2-0
libgnomecanvas2-common libgnomeprint-bin libgnomeprint-data libgnomeprint15
libgnomeprint2.2-0 libgnomeprint2.2-data libgnomeprintui2.2-0
libgnomeprintui2.2-common libgnomesupport0 libgnomeui-0 libgnomeui-common
libgnomeui32 libgnomevfs2-0 libgnomevfs2-common libgnorbagtk0 libgsf-gnome-1
libgtk1.2 libgtk1.2-common libgtk2.0-0 libgtk2.0-common libgtkhtml2-0
libgtkhtml20 libgtkspell0 libgtkxmhtml1 libwxgtk2.4 python-gnome2
python-gtk-1.2 python2.3-gnome2 python2.3-gtk2
localhost:~# echo `dpkg --get-selections |cut -f 1 |grep -E "(gnome|gtk|
gconf)"`
I also compared the above printout with yours and found some packages missing.
Shall I "apt-get install" those missing packages manually.
I found following URL
http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2003-November/msg00021.html
The bug reported is similar to mine. They have solution for RH but up to now
I still could not find its solution to Debian (testing/unstable)
B.R.
