Gnome SuperUser Connection Refused

I've been using the main Gnome menu to access YaST for quite awhile and it has always worked. Now all of a sudden, after entering my root password, I get an error:

"Gnome SuperUser: b: connection to ":0.0" refused by server"

Other than normal computer user stuff, the only thing that has changed is the installation of an upgraded version of GStreamer but I don't see how that could be affecting anything. I'm a little weak on X-server stuff since mine has always worked until now. Can anyone point me to a way to fix this problem? Any assistance will be appreciated.
