 you need to add that option where ever X is being started ( i dont
know exactly where - maybe gdm might have some option for it )

 then from another m/c use xwd to get a dump of the screen
 eg 
 $ xwd -display urmachip:0.0 -out filename

 open the file in gimp & save it to req format.
