RH-9 oaf-slay panic

Hi All -

Has anyone else seen problems with oaf-slay on RH9?  Mine fails with the
following message

panic: end_shift at /usr/bin/oaf-slay line 138.

Line 138 is a fairly straightforward pattern match.

Red Hat 9 on an AMD K6
256 MB

I just tried running oaf-slay with different perl versions:  the RH9
distro uses perl-5.8.0, which does NOT work; I have an old perl-5.6.1
that works successfully.  

Is this a known problem, or should I report this, and, if so, to whom?
