buttons on drawers

Hello,

Is there any way to create a button under a drawer that isn't square, but
conforms to the size of the icon? Basically what I want to do is have text
only, but it would need to be readable and I dont want to have an
extra-large bar just to fit horizontally.

So, instead of this:

|            |
| mytexthere |
|            |
|            |
--------------

I just want

--------------
| mytexthere |
--------------


for each button (launcher).

Is there an an easy way to accomplish this?
