Modem Lights

Has anyone been able to get the modem lights applet to connect to the internet 
in SuSE8.1, please? If so, could you tell me what to put in the "connect" and 
"disconnect" command boxes?

I have tried a large assortment of commands, but none will get it to work 
properly. The nearest I can get is to call up wvdial or kppp in the connect 
box. But I can't get it to disconnect. I wouldn't think that calling up these 
programs is not the correct way of doing it.

Are there any files which need editing?

KInternet, WVDial and KPPP all work.

I am using a 56K dial-up connection.
