Gnome 2.2 configuration

I have upgrade my Gnome on Debian 3.0 (Woody) to version 2.2.  The default
window manager I am using is fvwm2.  I would like to have the Window AutoRaise
feature working on this system.  Where and how should I do this?

The syntax in the GConf editor looks like Windows registry type.  I am not too
comfortable making any changes to the current values.

Any help appreciated.  Thank you in advance.
