Problem switching between workspaces

Hi,

I'm using Gnome 2.0 beta 3 on solaris 8 and I'm having
problems switching workspaces using the keyboard:
everything works fine for moving windows across
workspaces, but I cannot switch the focus between
workspaces (using keys bound to
switch_to_workspace_[left,right,top,bottom])
Note that the switch_to_workspace_1 through 6 commands
work fine. 

Any idea ?
