Well I have Gnome2-RC1 Running the Systemmonitor shows me 175MB of RAM.
To it's stability I can say, it will be more stable than 1.4 and it's
worth to try.
Generally the Programs are starting faster and the complete Look and
Feel has gotten better
as well as Copy and Paste working between the applications. It seems
that Gnome has gotten to
be a Unit.
