I would recomend trying to just install Ximian Gnome first. It should
figure out what the dependencies are. Since it upgrades *all* of Gnome,
not just *parts* you shouldn't have dependency probelms.

If you do have dependency problems, you can ask this list again, and
then, perhaps, you could remove your current instalation.
