Nautilus?

I just finished compiling Nautilus 1.0.4.  It appears to be running the desktop
(as my background image disappeared) but I never get the "file manager" part of
nautilus.

I am running Solaris 2.5.1, x11r6.5 and all the latest gnome products.

Is there something else I need to do to get nautilus working?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
