Compile problems with control-center-1.4.0.1

Hi all,

I posted this error a week ago and got two replies, one said it looked
like an xml-i18n issue, the other asking if I have xml-i18n installed.
I do have xml-i18n and the xml-i18n-config program reports correctly.

Could someone help me on what I need to do in order to get the
compilation done?  Is the configure program not calling xml-i18n-config
so the Makefile does not get made correctly?  I looked at config.log and
did not see any errors reported.  I also tried compiling
control-center-1.4.0 and get the same result.

The error I get is:

make[2]: *** No rule to make target `gnomecc.desktop', needed by
`all-am'.  Stop
