Try clicking the on the bookmarks on the top.  \

        >>select the Smart Bookmarks toolbar    \

If your bookmark doc is already checked, you may have it shoved to the
side.. Move the mouse to the left side of your galeon window and see if
it 'lights' up like it wants to move and see if the window moves, or if
it lets you resize the bookmark doc..
