Terminate Gnome Applet

Is it possible to terminate a Gnome Applet from the command line without
it asking the user whether it wants to be reloaded? This has to be done
from a script, *not* from a compiled binary via an API.

Try to kill an applet nicely or nastily results in the 'reload'
dialogue.

Regards :)
