The latest (major) version of PAN (0.11 I think) was released today and
as it doesn't require libgtkhtml anymore, this will rid you of that
dependency problem.

You can get it from http://pan.rebelbase.com.  The last version I've had
experience with was 0.10.0.92 and despite being a development release
found it to be more stable than anything <= 0.10, so 0.11 should be
solid as a rock. :)
