Error while compiling dia-0.88.1

Hi all,

I'm trying to compile dia-0.88.1 from a tarball and
the configure seems to go with no problems. But while
compiling I get this error message:

libtool: link: cannot determine absolute directory
name of `yes/lib'

I have no idea what this means... (sigh). Any help
would be appreciated.

System: RedHat Linux 7.1 installed from the SGI ISO
with the XFS file system. Hardware: Toshiba 8100 laptop.
