Re: installing gnome on solaris

Have you tried Sun's release of Gnome 1.4? I'm right in the middle of installing it myself on a couple boxes. So far so good. :)

I've been following the install order from http://www.karubik.de/gig/
which seems to be decent, but have come upon several errors.

Here are the first few:

gtkmm gives:
...

make: *** [all-ecursive-am] Error 2
[ben turing/proj/ben/req6229-gnome1.4/gtkmm-1.2.5]$

and gnomemm (which I assume is related) gives:
...
/bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -o gnomemmtmp gnomemmtmp.o
gcc -g -O2 -o gnomemmtmp gnomemmtmp.o

...

There are more packages which give errors, but these were the first to
misbehave so hopefully I can iron the problems out from here.

Thanks,
    Ben
