libgal question

I have a question about libgal.

Currently, I am running mandrake 8 and gnome.   I have the libgal4 package 
installed.   I wanted to upgrade my abisuite package, but it wants to install 
libgal6.

libgal6 and libgal4 have a file conflict . . . gal.mo.

What's the best way to deal with this?   Should I --force this?  Will this 
break things that use libgal4, like Pan?
