ive started to use (on this ultra 60):

set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=0xffffffffffffffff
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=0x1000
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=0x100

kuz thats what i remember reading somewhere.....granted, i have about a gig of ram but anyways.

Solaris has too low shared memory limit by default (Any Sun:ers
listening? yoohoo?), up it in /etc/system:
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=3145728
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=32

Or something like that, and reboot.
