Compile problems with gnome-libs

Hello Everyone,

    I'm trying desperately to compile gnome-libs and hope that this
package contains 'gnome-config'.
Or maybe I have the wrong Gnome package, anyways below is the compile
error and I also installed
BerkeleyDB.3.1. Still I get a db error.

configure: error: Your db library is missing db 1.85 compatibility mode

    Perhaps, I'm doing something wrong...maybe someone out there in the
Gnome might help me out.
