This is what worked for me, based on a message

This is what worked for me, based on a message
by Eric Miller (egm2 jps net), dated 12 Dec. 2000,
subject line, "Re: The truth about PSM and other
XPI's", that I found in the debian-user-request
listserve archives.
Unzip jre.xpi (with "unzip") in its own directory, (like
"jre-1.3.0_01'), in /usr/local/. Then make a
symbolic link in /usr/local/mozilla/package/plugins to the
file:
/usr/local/jre-1.3.0_01/jre-image-i386/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so
And that's it. Once you've unzipped jre.xpi no
further installation is need. Just make the
symlink, and you're done. I've tried all kinds of
applets, games and such, and it works in Moz0.7.
