Re: Where can I get libdb1?

You can find the source for BerkeleyDB at www.sleepycat.com

Make sure you download version 2.7.7 and build it
with DB1.85 compatibility mode.

When you've installed it, make sure you have
LDFLAGS="-L<libdbpath> -R<libdbpath>" exported before
you do your configure.

I'm on a Sun Solaris platform and am trying to build gnome-libs-1.2.8
(for use with Glade), but the configure script fails because it can't
find libdb1.

Here is the output from config.log:

configure:8360: checking for dbopen in -ldb1
configure:8379: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -Wall -Wunused
-I/cfs/tools/public/gtk+-1.2.8/include
-I/cfs/tools/public/glib-1.2.8/lib/glib/include
-I/cfs/tools/public/glib-1.2.8/include -I/usr/openwin/include
conftest.c -ldb1 -lz -lresolv -lm 1>&5
/cfs/tools/eval/gnupro-99r1-sparc-sun-solaris2.5/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1/2.9-gnupro-99r1.000/../../../../sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1/bin/ld:
cannot open -ldb1: No such file or directory

I have done searches on the web to try to find libdb1, but can't find
it anywhere. I saw some mentions of it in this mailing list, but there
was no answer in any of the replies about where to get it.

Can anyone tell me where I can download libdb1 from?

Thanks,
