RE: Contents of gnome-list digest...

Actually the problems you described are a bit beyond the scope of the gnome
list. As a matter of fact, they're completely off topic.
Redhat DOES have an excellent list, I'd highly recommend you asking for help
there as they are totally devoted to Redhat support, whereas gnome list is
for the gnome window manager, gnome desktop and gnome applets. The gnome WM
system is a cross platform software package that ranges from Solaris systems
to SuSE linux (though support for 7.1 and 7.2 is lagging a bit currently
(nudge, nudge, gnome developers)) and Redhat is only one distribution among
many supported.
In shorter terms, there are less Redhat users able to assist you here than
there could ever be on the Redhat lists.
You could also get a LOT of help quickly on many IRC networks in either a
#redhat or #linux channel.
Personally, on my home desktop systems (4 desktops and one laptop) I dual
boot linux and windows 98 (laptop and one desktop are WinME), windows being
the primary boot. I don't bother with floppy based boots, but use LILO to my
MBR. I keep a rescue disk (actually CD) handy in case I need to reinstall
windows though as it's a bit jealous and kills the LILO entry when windows
installer runs... MY primary desktop has linux on it's D: drive and LILO
boots fine.

Hope this helps,

Stephen P. Villano
