Building gIDE?

./configure fails for gIDE (latest sources from CVS) in the following
manner:

     checking for xgettext... /usr/bin/xgettext
     checking for catalogs to be installed...  da de es fr it ja sv
     tr uk
     sed: can't read ./intl/po2tbl.sed.in: No such file or
     directory
     ./configure: line 5069: syntax error near unexpected token
     `GDL_CHECK_LIB(gnome-libs,'
     ./configure: line 5069: `GDL_CHECK_LIB(gnome-libs, gnome,
     1.2.9)'

What's wrong?
