deskguide crashing

Having trouble with the deskguide applet. During the gnome session
startup, the deskguide aborts. If I try to manually start deskguide,
same problem. I noticed that if I havent any applications running and
start deskguide, it stays alive ... until I start an app (like
gnome-terminal). I receive the following message (source compiled on
Solaris 7) :

Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_signal_disconnect_by_data(): could not find
handler containing data (0x165378)
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  serial 3037 error_code 8 request_code 131 minor_code 3

Any ideas ? THanks !
