It will absolutely work! I use it all the time here at work. The one thing that
you have to change is in the /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf file (assuming you are using
gdm as your display manager). There is a line under the xdmcp section that says
Enable=0. you need to change that to Enable=1 and then I think you have to
restart X, but you might not have to.
