unable to reach control-center

Hello,

I have the problem, that capplets can't be run because they can't reach the 
control-center. 
I have found a lot of similar problems in the archives, but no solutions. Can 
anybody tell me what the problem could be ?? 
Is ist maybe a problem with CORBA ? 
I would be happy if i knew which libaries might be wrongly installed.
Or is it maybe the wrong place where I am looking for a solution ??
Where else should i look ??
