go-gnome fails to install - suse 6.4

ok ...

i've installed a new suse 6.4 system. snarf downloads the helix-install
application from helixcode, it fails with an error about there not being
enough space in /var/cache/helix-installer to load the installer, even though
there more than 3GB free:

theborg:~ # df

fwiw, the system is an AMD800/suse6.4/kernel2.2.17.
