Latest version of gnome-libs is 1.2.3 or 1.2.4?

Hi all,

	I'm playing around with a source install of GNOME and see from
http://www.gnome.org/start/installing/ that version 1.2.3 is
suggested.  When looking in
ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/stable/sources/gnome-libs/ I apparently see
version 1.2.3 and 1.2.4.  There is a file in this directory called
"LATEST-IS-1.2.3", but it appears to be 1.2.4.

	My question: should I be using 1.2.3 as the web page and the
"LATEST-IS-..." file suggests, or should I use 1.2.4 as the directory
seems to indicate as the latest?
