If you upgrade 6.1 to 7.0 you have to change this preferences setting
(6.2 changed the default prefs setting to make things work right, but
if you had already saved the preference in 6.1, you wouldn't get the
new default).
If you go from Red Hat to Helix GNOME then at least for some versions
of Helix gnome-terminal is not patched to work properly. Helix said
they were fixing it, I don't know if they already have or not.
