RE: GDM as a replacement for XDM

Hey,

I finally found "gdmconfig" (Doh!) in which
I can turn on gdm's XDMCP functionality.
(Why doesn't gdm have a manpage?)

I must report that when I run gdmconfig and
select the XDMCP switch and the Close, the app
unmaps, but control is not returned to the
terminal from which I launched gdmconfig.

...and Ctrl+Cing and rerunning it shows the
XDMCP switch back off.

SO, a pointer to good docs would be appreciated!!!

Christopher

P.S. Where can I get a tarball of the latest
gdm? I want more control than using RH's rpm
will allow. Thanks.

Hello,

I am reading that gdm is a replacement for xdm.

Can anyone tell me how to launch gdm so that it
will handle incoming XDMCP requests?

Thanks, and direct email is OK,

Christopher
