    Well libxml2 is not part of the Gnome 1.x platform.
You can find RPMs at ftp://xmlsoft.org/ or by using rpmfind search
    http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libxml2
As the FAQ says libxml-devel and libxml2-devel are not installable
concurrently yet, I will try to remove that limitation by using
xml2-config for the configuration script in libxml2-devel. A new set
of macros will probably have to be added too.
