Compiled tar.gz from xfree86.org after uninstalling all the old XFree86 RPMs
(it should be possible to have both release installed on the same box).
Keep a copy of your XF86Config before all try !
Still have a problem : no Virtual desktop from X server for my video card
(voodoo banshee)
No problem with Gnome (at least if your compile from tarballs).
