pb running applets

With gnome-core 1.1.4 and 1.1.5 (both from cvs), applets (those included
in the package) don't start. A dialog box pops up instead, saying
something like "... detected another panel running ...".

Here are some debug messages: 

** WARNING **: No POA found for operation add_applet [-1073743516]
** WARNING **: file applet-widget.c: line 934: Corba Exception: type = 2
exid = IDL:CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0
** WARNING **: Cannot start CORBA

The version of ORBit is 0.5.1. The problem dosen't happen with ORBit 0.5.1
+ gnome-core 1.1.3.
