What will happend to gmc ?

I see people talking about KDE vs GNOME, I for one have used both for a
while, as a mather of fact, when I started using Linux, the first GUI I used
was KDE, I spent a lot of time surfing the net, searching for information on
both enviroments, comparing not only their look and feel, but also their
APIs, the technologies they where based on, and then, even though GNOME
seemed less polished and stable, I decided to go for it, perhaps this is
what happens to technically minded people or I did it just because I became
a GNU adept from the very moment I knew about free software, or because I
was amazed whith how much had been done in this little gem called GNOME (as
someone here called it) in such a short time. And I must tell you, the only
thing that I miss from KDE is the konqueror equivalent. Personaly, I dislike
the idea of using netscape whith GNOME, I think, now a days, a
filemanager-browser must be an integral part of the system, which is not the
case for netscape. I was wondering what will happen to gmc when nautilus
becomes stable ? I think Nautilus should replace it, am I wrong ? My idea
and hope is that some day GNOME will have its own universal browser so that
(at least to me, not an expert) the N in GNOME will be clear visible.
