Sawfish - no such image?

When running sawfish, I now get this error. I compiled the latest
verions of the following (in this order or something like this...):

libgif,zlib,libpng,imlib,librep,rep-gtk,sawfish,esound,audiofile,glib,gtk+

Anyway, the error is:
/convert: No such file or directory
/convert: No such file or directory
/anytopnm: No such file or directory
IMLIB ERROR: Cannot load image:
/opt/gnome/share/sawfish/0.30.3/themes/simple/as_min.png

The image files DO exist, and I compiled imlib with libpng, I am sure of
that. I did an strace and I saw that "convert" and "anytopnm" seem to be
just aliases to /opt/gnome/share/sawfish/0.30.3/. What could cause this?
sawfish doesn't crash, but it doesn't load up any graphics, so it's
pretty useless right now.

Please advise.

PS: I found that changing the esd.conf from 100ms to 0ms on the third
line seems to make gnome programs load up much faster, so that problem
is now taken care of. Once I get sawfish working, I'm ready to roll....
